I decided to jump on this bandwagon waaaay late. You know, a few weeks back when everyone was doing self-improvement or whatnot journals for DA's birthday. I haven't done a self improvement meme in four years or so, so heck, why not?
I "joined" on January 16th, 2006
. Quotations because I didn't actually run my account. A friend did. I was on dial up still.
Since nothing remains of that era, let's move onto what does exist. I took over my account in late November/early December of 2007
was a year of big changes in my life, and my artwork. I dabbled in color and drawing styles.... pastels, colored pencils, grayscale, and pastel pencils.2009
was a rough year, but man did I draw a lot! And it's like we have color TV all of a sudden! I solidified on colored pencils for backgrounds. 2010
I got pretty busy with coursework. My artwork amount drastically dropped off. Ranghildr and Aputsiaq make their debut. 2011
The year I changed majors a million and a half times. Lots of dragons and bat wings. More OCs this year than fanart, not usually the trend.2012,
seems odd that this year is in the past by two years now. Another year of big changes. The sheer amount of moves I made that year certainly reduced my drawing time. My most favorite-d piece is here too. Regardless, I think there's a bit of improvement here:2013
I found more time to draw with plenty of blizzards forcing me to stay indoors and really nothing better to do. Started the 100 themes challenge! I changed my inking style at the very end.2014
, or what I've done thus far. I feel like I just drew most of these. Hard to see improvement in this year alone because it's so recent.
Works in progress:
Dragons: Who do you think you're getting for this one? R&A?
Standing still: Might be GoT, haven't quite figured it out.
Teamwork: Probably Guild Wars 2 related.
...I'm also itching to get some Sailor Moon fanart in... I've never drawn any! Craziness!
